WU Yan-na;WANG Jian-feng;

[Objective] To investigate the diversity of intestinal symbiotic bacteria in the larvae of the saprophagous insect Sepsis monostigma. [Method] The V3-V4 hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA gene from intestinal symbiotic bacteria in third-instar larvae of S. monostigma were sequenced using Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology to explore the community diversity, structure, and functional characteristics of the larval gut microbiota. [Result] A total of 547 896 valid sequences were obtained from five samples and clustered into 2 106 operational taxonomic units(OTUs). These OTUs were classified into 26 phyla, 67 classes, 168 orders, 320 families, 742 genera. The ACE index, Chao index, Shannon index, and Simpson index of the intestinal symbiotic bacterial community ranged from 691 to 787, 673 to 751, 2.83 to 3.52, and 0.089 5 to 0.231 7, respectively. Firmicutes and Proteobacteria were identified as the dominant phyla, while Providencia and Clostridium were the predominant genera. Functional prediction based on Tax4Fun revealed that the intestinal symbiotic bacteria were enriched in pathways related to ABC transporters, carbon metabolism, and fatty acid metabolism. [Conclusion] These findings provide valuable insights into the intestinal microbial resources of S.monostigma and offer a scientific reference for the application of this species in ecological environment purification.

Effects of Different Concentrations of Chlormequat Chloride (CCC) on Growth and Yield of Oil Sunflower

HE Jiang;LIU Yan-fei;CHEN Tao;

To explore the effect of different concentrations of chlormequat chloride(CCC) on the growth and yield of oil sunflower, and to determine the optimum concentration of CCC application, it is of great significance for the construction of high yield and high efficiency cultivation technology system of oil sunflower and the guarantee of national oil supply. In this study, a sunflower cultivar Yankui 2 were selected as materials. Taking spraying clear water as control(CK), four concentrations of CCC were set at 800 mg/L(C1), 1 600 mg/L(C2), 2 400 mg/L(C3) and 3 200 mg/L(C4), and the effects of different concentrations of CCC on dwarfing effect, leaf parameters, yield and yield components of oil sunflower were analyzed. The results show that: Different concentrations of CCC significantly reduced the plant height of sunflower, and the decreasing range increased with the increase of CCC concentration, and C1, C2, C3 and C4 decreased by 15.69%, 20.04%, 26.18% and 29.27% respectively compared with CK;the stem diameter first increased and then decreased with the increase of CCC concentration, and reached the highest in C2 treatment, which increased by 9.09% compared with CK;different concentrations of CCC significantly increased the stem diameter to plant height ratio(25.03%-36.62%), and C2 treatment increased the most(36.62%);low concentration of CCC(C1 and C2 treatments) increased leaf area and chlorophyll content, while high concentration of CCC(C3 and C4 treatments) decreased leaf area and chlorophyll content;CCC exerted significant effects on oil sunflower yield, grain weight per disc, and disc diameter. All three parameters demonstrated an initial increase followed by a decrease with increasing CCC concentration. The maximum yield(+8.34%) was observed under the C1 treatment, whereas the C4 treatment resulted in the lowest yield(-26.47%). The above findings indicate that an appropriate concentration of CCC can effectively dwarf and strengthen oil sunflower plants while enhancing or maintaining yield. Under the condition of ensuring no yield reduction in oil sunflowers, the maximum application concentration of CCC should not exceed 1 600 mg/L.
