Influence of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes on the Physiological Characteristics of Ceratopteris thalictroides (L.) Brongn.
GUO Yan-dong;FU Jiao-jiao;CAO Jian-guo;Based on previous studies, this research used the fern model plant Ceratopteris thalictroides as test material to investigate the effects of different concentrations of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) on the physiological characteristics. The results showed that compared with the control group(0.0 mg/L MWCNTs),the T1(0.5 mg/L MWCNTs),T2(1.0 mg/L MWCNTs),and T3(2.5 mg/L MWCNTs) treatments had extremely significant(P<0.01) effects on leaf SOD activity, while the T4(5.0 mg/L MWCNTs) treatment had a significant(P<0.05) effect.Among them, SOD activity was the lowest in the T2 group(636.18 U/g),and POD activity was the lowest in T4 group(319.06 U/g);MWCNTs treatment had no significant effect(P>0.05) on the contents of MDA and soluble sugar, both showed a fluctuating trend with the concentration of MWCNTs increased. DAB staining resulted in a blue-purple color. The comprehensive results indicate that treatments with 0.5-5.0 mg/L MWCNTs affect the physiological characteristics of C. thalictroides sporophytes, and SOD played a major role when exposed to the treatment of multi-walled carbon nanotubes; under high concentration treatment, the activities of SOD and POD changed significantly, and MDA content rose to the highest level, resulting in the “high concentration inhibition” phenomenon.
Research Progress on the Effects and Mechanisms of Intercropping and Interplanting Patterns of Traditional Chinese Medicinal Materials
YUE He-wei;WANG Xin-zhen;CHEN Jun;Intercropping and interplanting are widely applied cultivation patterns.By regulating the spatial distribution and morphological structure of crops, they promote complementary growth among crops, weaken interspecific or intraspecific competition, make full use of spatial resources, and effectively mitigate problems such as continuous cropping obstacles and soil degradation caused by monoculture. The application of intercropping and interplanting in the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicinal materials has received increasing attention.Intercropping traditional Chinese medicinal materials with other crops can improve soil properties, protect the ecological environment, alleviate the pressure on land resources, and increase economic income. This article summarizes recent literature in related fields, discusses the effects of these patterns on alleviating continuous cropping obstacles, reducing disease occurrence, enhancing the yield and quality of traditional Chinese medicinal materials, and elucidating the mechanisms involved. It also prospects future development directions for intercropping and interplanting of traditional Chinese medicinal medicines with other plants, aiming to provide a reference for further in-depth research and comprehensive application of these cultivation patterns.
Research Proceeding and Prospects of Sweet Potato Re-planting Problem in China
CHANG Ming-juan;LU Zhen-hua;DU Yu-bei;Sweet potato is a globally important food crop. However, with the continuous increase in the multi-cropping index of land, the re-planting problem of sweet potato has become increasingly prominent, becoming a key factor restricting the development of the industry.Relevant research also faces many challenges.Currently, domestic research on the re-planting problem of sweet potato mainly focuses on three aspects: soil physical and chemical property deterioration, microbial ecological imbalance, and self-toxic accumulation. No method has been found to completely eliminate the re-planting problem, but some techniques can effectively alleviate their negative impacts. This article systematically reviews the research progress on the re-planting problem of sweet potato, and the main contents include the following three aspects: first, analyze the causes and specific hazards of the re-planting problem of sweet potato; second, explore its the internal mechanism at multiple levels; third, evaluate various control strategies.By reviewing the research achievements and shortcomings, this article aims to provide a reference for overcoming the re-planting problem of sweet potato.
Analysis of Agronomic Traits for 15 Rice Varieties in the High-latitude and Alpine Regions of Heilongjiang Province
LIU An-jin;LIN Jing-yan;YUE Yi;The growth characteristics, yield, and other agronomic traits of 15 rice varieties in the high-latitude and alpine regions of Heilongjiang Province were analyzed and evaluated, with a detailed examination of yield components. The results indicated that the actual yields of seven varieties such as Longjing 4513, Suijing 143, and Suijing 311 were significantly higher than that of the control variety Heijing 10, suggesting their suitability for promotion and cultivation in this region. The seed setting rate showed a highly significant positive correlation with yield(r = 0.716), and panicle length was highly significantly positively correlated with 1 000-grain weight(r = 0.737). In contrast, the number of spike per unit area was highly significantly negatively correlated with the number of grains per spike(r =-0.880). Seed setting rate is identified as the key trait requiring improvement in rice breeding programs targeting high-latitude and alpine regions. Although the number of spike per unit area exhibited a strong direct effect(1.826), its practical contribution to yield was limited due to indirect negative effects from grain number per spike and 1 000-grain weight. Future strategies should focus on tiller regulation, gene mining, and plant type optimization to mitigate resource competition and enhance overall productivity.
Effects of Population Densities on the Yield, Quality, and Economic Efficiency of Lipu Taro
HE Mao-xin;LI Zheng-wei;QIN Liu-lan;To investigate the effects of different population densities on the yield and quality of tissue cultured seedlings of Lipu taro, YL-7 Lipu taro was used as the experimental material to study the effects of three densities(30 000, 22 500, and 15 000 plants/hm2) on the yield and quality of Lipu taro. The results showed that with the increase of population density, the total starch, cellulose, and crude protein content of Lipu taro showed a decreasing trend. Among them, the overall performance of 15 000 plants/hm2 of Lipu taro was relatively better, with a single weight of 1 007.7 g for mother taro, 90.27 g for filial taro, 6.57 for average number of filial per mother bulb, a commodity rate of 92.00% for mother taro, and a high response value for electronic nose; the yield and economic benefits of Lipu taro with a density of 30 000 plants/hm2 were better, with a mother taro yield of 23 918.85 kg/hm2, output value of 191 350.8 yuan/hm2, and profit of 66 475.8 yuan/hm2. Experiments have shown that suitable density should be chosen when planting Lipu taro, and suitable density planting has a positive impact on the tuber size, nutritional ingredient, volatile substances, economic benefits of Lipu taro.

The Influence of Stem Morphology and Content on the Physical Quality, Combustion Characteristics and Stability of Slim Cigarettes
YANG Qi;DUAN Kun;CHEN Yang;To investigate the influence of stem morphology and content on the physical quality, combustion behavior, and process stability of thin cigarettes, a series of controlled experiments were conducted using a ZJ17 cigarette-making machine. Specifically, the damper opening was systematically varied across five levels(1 st, 3 rd, 5 th, 7 th, and 10 th gear), while graded stem tags were incorporated at different contents and size fractions: full-stem at 7% and 10%; and size-fractionated stem tags in three ranges(φ1. 00-<2. 50, φ2. 50-<3. 35, and φ3. 35-5. 40 mm). Key physical parameters, including cigarette single weight, draw resistance, hardness, circumference, total air permeability, and burning time, were measured systematically under standardized conditions. The results indicated that, under baseline stem content conditions, cigarette mass, draw resistance, hardness, and circumference all exhibit ed an “N”-shaped trend with increasing damper opening with maximum values observed at the 10 th gear setting(single weight reaching 0. 785 g). In contrast, total air permeability follows a “V”-shaped trend, attaining its peak value at the 10 th gear. Notably, the 7% full-stem tag treatment(XZ6) yielded significantly higher single weight and circumference compared to the 10% full-stem tag treatment(XZ7)(P< 0. 05). Among the size-fractionated treatments, the medium-sized stem tags(φ2. 50-<3. 35 mm) produced the lowest values for single weight, draw resistance, and hardness with reductions of 3. 4% to 5. 1% relative to other size fractions. Burning time increased progressively with damper opening from XZ1 to XZ5, it extended from 232. 56 s to 242. 80 s. Further increasing stem content to 10% prolonged burning time by an additional 10. 60 s. The longest burning time(267. 27 s) was achieved with the φ2. 50-<3. 35 mm stem tag treatment(XZ9) which 12. 7% greater than that of the conventional-size control. Moreover, the combination of the 10 th-gear damper setting and large-sized stem(φ3. 35-5. 40 mm) delivered the highest physical quality stability, as evidenced by the lowest standard deviations across all measured parameters. This study provides a robust theoretical foundation for optimizing the manufacturing process of thin cigarettes through rational selection of damper settings and stem tag specifications.

Effects of Different Fertilization Measures on the Fertilizer Utilization Efficiency of Wheat in Hulunbuir Area
WANG Jie;SUN Shuang-hong;CHENG Xuan;[Objective] To investigate the effects of different fertilization measures on the fertilizer utilization rate of wheat in Hulunbuir region, with the aim of providing an effective reference for the large-scale promotion of controlled-release fertilizers in the wheat-growing areas of Hulun buir. [Method] A field experiment was carried out in the Xierdala Farm of Hake Town, Hulunbuir. Six fertilization treatments were set up, namely controlled-release fertilizer(S1), controlled-release fertilizer(S2), full conventional fertilization(CK), nitrogen deficiency treatment(N), phosphorus deficiency treatment(P), and potassium deficiency treatment(K). Experimental plots were arranged according to different fertilization treatments to analyze the effects of different fertilization treatments on the fertilizer utilization rate of wheat. [Result] Compared with CK, the S1 treatment significantly increased the partial factor productivity of fertilizer, the agronomic efficiency of fertilizer, and the contribution rate of fertilizer. The release rate of nutrients in S2 was different from that in S1, which led to different nutrient absorption times of wheat and affected the agronomic efficiency and the contribution rate of fertilizer, resulting in a decrease in the partial factor productivity of fertilizer, the agronomic efficiency of fertilizer, and the contribution rate of fertilizer in the S2 treatment. [Conclusion] Controlled-release fertilizers can improve the fertilizer utilization rate of wheat to a certain extent.
