Advances in Food Safety Risk Based on Knowledge Graphs

LI Guo-yan;YANG Hong-bo;HU Kang;

Taking “food safety” as the key word and incorporating six categories of risk indicators as the central theme, and using the literature included in the China Knowledge Network(CNKI) and Web of Science(WOS) databases from 2004 to 2023 as samples, this paper conducted statistical analysis on the number of published papers, authors, countries, institutions, etc., and performs visual analysis on the key words. The results showed that food safety risk research has received wide attention both at home and abroad, and the number of publications has been increasing steadily. The research team of WOS literature is mostly a collaborative team of high-producers and there is transnational and cross-regional cooperation. The research power of CNKI literature is mostly independent research, and most of them are from all levels of research institutes and colleges and universities. In recent years, the research hotspots in this field in China have focused on improving the detection level, optimizing the supervision and sampling system, improving the management level of inspection and quality control, and reducing the failure rate of food products. Foreign research hotspots focus on the application and innovation of new food testing technologies and methods, with a view to improving the efficiency and accuracy of food analysis and testing, thus enhancing the industry standards and regulatory level. The main research themes include detection and analysis of food contaminants, food safety risk monitoring and assessment, food safety regulation and standard setting. In the future, it is necessary to explore food safety risks in depth through multidisciplinary intersection and multidimensional analysis, promote the systematic development of food safety risk research, and protect people's food safety.

Advances in the Influencing Factors and Mechanism of the Flower Bud Differentiation of Camellia oleifera

CAI Jin-jin;WU Li-chao;XIAO Chong-fu;

Camellia oleifera seed oil, rich in unsaturated fatty acids and other nutrients, has been recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as the best healthy edible plant oil. However, the large number of flowers but extremely low natural fruit setting rate of C. oleifera, as well as the alternate bearing phenomenon, have led to low economic benefits, seriously restricting the healthy development industry. Relevant studies have found that these problems may be related to the site environment of C. oleifera forests and the nutritional status of the trees, especially the quality of flower bud differentiation has a significant impact on fruit yield. The process of flower bud differentiation of C. oleifera is affected by the comprehensive effect of many internal and external factors, and its physiological and molecular regulatory mechanism is quite complex, and how to regulate the differentiation of flower buds is an urgent problem to be solved in the C. oleifera industry. This paper reviewed the physiological stages and particularities of C. oleifera flower bud differentiation and the factors affecting the bud differentiation of C. oleifera based on domestic and foreign research, including the level of endogenous hormones, the accumulation of carbohydrates, the supply of various mineral elements and other nutritional status, and environmental factors such as light, temperature and moisture. The molecular physiological mechanism of the role of various factors in the bud differentiation of C. oleifera was proposed, and the mechanism of endogenous hormones and nutrients in spring shoots on the differentiation of C. oleifera flower buds was strengthened, and the dynamic changes of nutrients and endogenous hormones in flower buds during the flower bud differentiation period were analyzed, and the internal relationship between these changes and the process of flower bud differentiation was clarified. Based on the above results, this article points out that flower bud differentiation in C. oleifera has particularities and requires artificial regulation to promote fruiting and achieve high and stable yields. This article provides a research direction for promoting high and stable yields of C. oleifera and promoting the healthy development of the C. oleifera industry, which has important theoretical and practical significance.

Preliminary Exploration of the Salt Tolerance of Different Sweet Potato Varieties

YANG Jian-wen;ZHU Hong-bo;SHEN Xue-feng;

[Objective] To explore the salt tolerance of different sweet potato varieties under coastal saline alkali land conditions. [Method] By comparing the differences in agronomic traits, biomass and yield, and salt ion content among various varieties, analyze their salt tolerance and adaptability. [Result] There were significant differences in agronomic traits such as tuber number, leaf number, and main stem length among different sweet potato varieties, among which Jishu 26, Zhanshu 16, and Pushu 32 showed advantages in multiple traits. Jishu 26 has significantly higher fresh potato yield, stem and leaf yield, tuber dry rate, tuber fresh mass, and tuber dry weight than other varieties, demonstrating strong growth ability and photosynthetic efficiency. There were differences in the accumulation of Cl-, Na+, and K+ in different parts of sweet potato varieties. Jishu 26, Zhanshu 16, and Pushu 32 accumulated higher contents of C- and K+ in most organs, but still maintained high growth performance and yield, indicating their strong salt tolerance. In addition, sweet potato cultivation significantly reduced soil salinity and increased soil nutrient content, indicating that sweet potato has a certain impact on the improvement of saline alkali land. [Conclusion] Jishu 26, Zhanshu 16, and Pushu 32 are suitable sweet potato varieties under coastal saline alkali soil conditions.

Identification and Evaluation of Shade Tolerance in Maize Combinations

WANG Xiao-bo;CHANG Xiao;LIU Bo-lin;Institute of Cotton Research of CAAS/State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology;

To explore the identification methods, indicators and the relationship between shade-tolerant maize hybrids and inbred lines, we utilized 11 maize inbred lines that varied from strong to weak shade tolerance as parents to create 30 maize hybrids using incomplete diallel hybridization model.A field shading method was employed to simulate low light conditions in field experiments.Systems analysis methods, including principal component analysis, membership function analysis and cluster analysis, were used to systematically investigate the variation in 11 indicators, such as plant morphology, biomass production and yield under shaded conditions.We evaluated the shade tolerance of the hybrids and their relationship with the shade tolerance of the inbred lines.The results indicated that total dry weight, plant height and yield were suitable indicators for evaluating shade tolerance in maize inbred lines.The 30 hybrids were classified into strongly shade-tolerant(7 hybrids),moderately shade-tolerant(13 hybrids) and weakly shade-tolerant(10 hybrids) groups.For breeding strongly shade-tolerant varieties, it was advisable to avoid using weakly shade-tolerant materials as parents.This research provided a new approach for the selection and breeding of shade-tolerant maize varieties.

Analysis of Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Pepper Germplasm Resources Based on Molecular Markers

LU Xia;Amen;ZHAO Yu-hu;

To explore the genetic background of five types of pepper germplasm resources and select core breeding materials, this study used molecular markers to analyze their genetic diversity and population structure. The research results showed that 24 pairs of markers amplified 55 alleles from 115 materials, with 2.29 for each pair of primers in average. The range of allele frequency variation was 0.49-0.97, with an average of 0.75;the variation range of genetic diversity(GD) is 0.05-0.65, with an average of 0.33. Among them, the GD value of the goat horn pepper type is the highest, at 0.65, and the heterozygosity variation range is 0-0.99. The PIC values of primers CIDH203 and P52-11-21 are greater than 0.5, indicating that these two pairs of markers are highly polymorphic primers with high amplification polymorphism in all samples. UPGMA clustering based on Nei's genetic distance divides these germplasm resources into three different subgroups, Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3. Population structure analysis reveals that when K=4, the tested materials can be divided into four different subgroups. This study revealed the genetic background of five types of pepper germplasm resources, screened high polymorphism primers and core breeding materials, and provided theoretical basis and practical guidance for targeted breeding and genetic improvement of pepper varieties.

Study on Feeding Habits and Niche of the Wild Population of Perccottus glenii

LIU Tie-gang;LI Xiu-ying;YANG Bing-kun;

To investigate the feeding characteristics of the wild population of Perccottus glenii, we collected individuals from various aquatic habitats to analyze their food composition, feeding intensity, niche breadth, and seasonal variation trends in diet. The results showed that the diet of Perccottus glenii comprises 10 categories, including aquatic insect larvae, crustacean larvae, small shrimp, fish, fish eggs, redworms, water earthworms, mollusks, plant debris, and unknown food sources. The main food sources with the highest individual counts, ranked in descending order, are: aquatic insect larvae, beetle larvae, fish, and small shrimp. In terms of annual occurrence frequency, the ranking from highest to lowest is: fish, beetle larvae, small shrimp, and aquatic insect larvae. The variety and quantity of food resources reach their peak during the summer months(July-August). Feeding intensity, as indicated by metrics such as food satiation degree, satiation index, and feeding rate, is also highest in summer(July-August), aligning with the seasonal abundance of prey organisms in the environment. Feeding activity persists throughout the year. In July and August, the Simpson dominance index Y of fish, beetle larvae, aquatic insect larvae, fish eggs and small shrimp is relatively high, and the niche breath is larger than that of other foods. The seasonal variation of food niche breath is consistent with the changes of feed organisms in the environment.The results of this study will provide a theoretical basis for the development of artificial compounded feeds, the advancement of artificial aquaculture, and the implementation of resource conservation strategies in future practices.
